On many Sundays during the warmer months we dive around the coast on our own 5m RIB. Popular sites include Portland and Swanage. We also use Horsea Island at Portsmouth and Leybourne Lake in Kent for training and occasionally go to Stoney Cove in Leicestershire.
Members of the club have been diving in the Red Sea, Cornwall and the South Coast during the last year. Similar is planned for next year.
The club has a number of RYA2 qualified boat handlers, quite a few members with VHF Radio tickets.
The club is not a Teckie club (if anyone knows what this is) though there are a couple of Nitrox Divers. We do a good amount of wreck diving but we are not too much into penetration. Most members are at Club Diver level and the average dive of most members is within the 30m range though we do go deeper if it's the M2 or on our trips to Scapa Flow.
